PROFIL KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR LOGIS CALON GURU MATEMATIKA DAN IPA

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir logis merupakan bagian penting bagi seorang calon guru matematika dan sains. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir logis bagi calon guru matematika dan sains. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut dilakukan penelitian di Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas PGRI Ronggolawe Tuban, khususnya Prodi Pendidikan Matematika, Pendidikan Biologi, dan Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar. Jumlah Sampel 152 mahasiswa. Untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir logis digunakan instrumen The Group Assessment of Logical Thinking (GALT), meliputi penalaran konservasi, penalaran proporsional, variabel pengontrol, penalaran probabilistik, penalaran korelasional, dan penalaran kombinatorik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa calon guru sekolah dasar memiliki kemampuan berpikir logis lebih rendah dibanding calon guru pendidikan biologi maupun matematika. Sebagian besar calon guru memiliki kemampuan yang sangat rendah dalam penalaran probabilistik, korelasional, dan kombinatorial.
