PERTUMBUHAN DAN KADAR KLOROFIL KEDELAI (Glycine max L.) PADA LAHAN BERKAPUR YANG DIAPLIKASI KOMPOS LIMBAH KAYU PUTIH DAN PUPUK NPK

Abstract

Lahan berkapur memiliki kesuburan tanah rendah, yang berpengaruh pada pertumbuhan kedelai. Perbaikan kesuburan lahan berkapur dapat dilakukan dengan pemanfaatan kompos. Kompos limbah kayu putih memiliki jumlah yang besar, namun belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji pemanfaatan kompos limbah kayu putih dan pupuk NPK terhadap pertumbuhan dan kadar klorofil kedelai pada lahan berkapur. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok dengan perlakuan tanpa pupuk, 150 kg NPK, kompos, kompos + 50 kg NPK, kompos + 100 kg NPK, kompos + 150 kg NPK. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa jumlah daun pada perlakuan pupuk NPK dan kompos secara tunggal lebih tinggi daripada tanpa pupuk. Berat kering akar pada perlakuan kompos secara tunggal lebih tinggi daripada tanpa pupuk. Jumlah klorofil perlakuan kompos lebih tinggi daripada pupuk NPK. Kombinasi kompos dan 150 kg NPK memiliki berat kering tajuk, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun tertinggi yaitu masing masing sebesar 12,30 g/tanaman, 36,50 cm, 42,67 daun. Kadar klorofil berkorelasi positif dengan jumlah bintil akar.
