EFL Students’ Perceptions of Using Song Channels on Youtube for Vocabulary Enhancement

Abstract

Technology is being used so rapidly in various fields, including education, where students at all levels can become more engaged and focused when using media technology.This study was aimed at finding out the perceptions and the effect of EFL students utilizing of song channels on YouTube to enhance vocabulary. To attest to the effectivenessof thesong channels to enhance vocabulary, the researchers used descriptive qualitative method. The participants were 4EFL students from the English Language Education Department undergraduate program of UNIROW Tuban. To collected the data researchers used interview.The results of the study showed that there is an effect that can be felt when participants do vocabulary learning by listening to music on YouTube. Whereas using this technology, students can learn without feeling pushed and enjoy the process immensely.
