Abstract

Teaching English to young learners is not the same as teaching English to adults because they have different characteristics. By knowing their characteristics, teachers should create, adapt and use materials and activities that suit children. This paper
discusses some theories about children and their learning and proposes some creative activities which are appropriate for young learners so that they can enjoy learning and practice using English.
